Looking for a journaling app that helps you grow and change?
The "trick" is to get a journaling app that does more than to replace paper.
And Journey.cloud is not it.

Yes sure, Journey got all the features to keep your journal. It positions itself as the best Day One alternative. But like Day One, Journey sells you features to basically replace pen and paper.

Does that make Journey the best journal for you?

Word, Notepad, paper, Journey, Day One, they all get you the same results. A record of your life in pictures, handwriting, typed text, etc. And you can even organize it using your own system.

In other words, if all you're looking for is to have a digital journal, and pay for it, then Journey is a great alternative. But I don't believe that's what you're looking for.

The question you should ask yourself is, why am I journaling?

Tim Ferris, Oprah Winfrey, Einstein, Obama and many other successful people journal to reflect, to gain insights and to take back control of their day. For example Obama stated to the Time that writing and keeping a diary has been extremely important to him.

Here's why Obama is journaling

In other words, what you want is a Journey alternative that helps you achieve your (journaling) goals.

I've been journaling for 3 years, but I always felt I was missing insights. I recently switched from Journey to DailyState and finally get to know myself better. DailyState helps me to become a better version of myself   - Sophie Lewis

This is what DailyState does.

Our vision is that technology is here to help us, not to replace pen and paper. Journal apps should help us with our journaling goals.

Insights.
Goals.
Trends.
Coaching
Reminders.
Privacy.

That’s what I'm looking for in a journal app. And only DailyState does this.

I’ve been using DailyState for half a year, the insights I get are amazing. For example, I’ve been tracking headaches. Here’s the chart that shows me when I had a headache

But it also allows me to set goals. One of my goals is to exercise 5 times a week. I write about it in my journal, and then I get status updates like so:

The DailyState coach keeping my updated about my commitment to exercise
The DailyState coach keeping my updated about my commitment to exercise

That feels good! 😍

Like a coach acknowledging my progress. But that coach is also honest, it will tell me when I don’t make progress so I can improve myself.

This is the reason I journal. To become a better version of myself.

Like I said, most journal apps do nothing more than Word in a fancy way. They help you replace paper, but they don’t help you change. Journey falls into this category.

DailyState is a Journey Alternative that does help you become a better version of yourself. But don't take my word for it, sign up now and experience it yourself.
